Why Walk2Connect

Now, more than ever, with so many people working remotely, teams have become disengaged with a feeling of disconnection as they are lacking the camaraderie they once felt in an open office environment.

Walk2Connect was designed to reconnect people with each other to provide inclusive, focused and more productive teams.

Your walk essentials

Drinking water

It's important to stay hydrated throughout your walk. Hydralites are also a good idea for longer, more challenging trips.

Sensible footwear

We recommend boots or sturdy shoes with good grip for trail walking and sports shoes for City walks.

Sun protection

Apply sunscreen before your walk and always wear a hat; even on cloudy days.

Snacks

Whilst not essential, we always recommend bringing a snack just in case you need an energy boost along the way.

Helen Jones - Walk2Connect Founder

Who we are

My name is Helen Jones and I am passionate about the benefits of walking and the positive impact it has on one’s life. With my 20+ years in corporate behind me and my understanding and knowledge of how much stress and tension team environments can place on individuals, I decided to create Walk2Connect as an offering to the corporate world as an add on health benefit; as well as an opportunity for staff and clients to become more connected.

As an avid walker, and lover of nature, I often find the need for time to reflect away from the hustle and bustle of work and family life. Walking allows me to clear my mind, gain clarity and take in the beauty Brisbane has to offer. Whilst I enjoy walking alone, it is through shared experience which strengthened friendships and had a positive impact on my health and lifestyle. I decided to swap the heels for a pair of trail shoes and Walk2Connect was born.
